Programmes Manager & Head of Secretariat

Patience is a Born-Again Christian, a wife and a mother of two. Currently, she is the Programme Manager and Head of Secretariat at Kenya Christian Professionals Forum.

She ensures the operationalization of KCPF’s Five Pillars/Programmes, i.e.; Protecting Life, Family Development, Religious Freedom, Values-Based Education and Governance & Leadership. She is also in charge of Supervision and Coordination of the Secretariat.

Before joining KCPF, Patience worked as Administrator, Human Resource Manager and Community Worker/Trainer at Way of Peace (WAPE); an organisation based in Nakuru, which deals with peace and reconciliation. While at WAPE, she worked with communities which have suffered ethnic violence. She helped run Healing Workshops, Debriefing Workshops, Post-trauma Counselling and Community Development initiatives. Her specialty was teenagers and young adults.

Previously she had volunteered for Six months at Mercy Ministries International-Rabagirana (MMI), which, based in Kigali Rwanda. While at MMI, Patience travelled all over the country of Rwanda, collecting and documenting healing stories of individuals and families who had suffered the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. She also received international exposure by helping run Healing workshops in South Sudan and Cote d’Ivoire, to communities which have suffered political and ethnic violence.

Before that, Patience was a full time volunteer in Fellowship of Christian Unions (FOCUS) Kenya for two years, in a Short Term Experience in Ministry (STEM) programme. She has continued to volunteer with FOCUS.

She holds a Bachelor in Science, Eco-tourism, Hotel and Institution Management with IT from Maseno University. Patience is passionate about family, work and she loves to read. She is also a disciple of Jesus Christ, who loves to tell people about Him.
