Celebrating KCPF’s 10th Anniversary
MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRPERSON
Greetings Friends & Colleagues.
We had a great week at KCPF, where we commemorated 10 years since our founding. On 9th September 2010, only 13 days after the promulgation of the Constitution of Kenya, we came together at NCCK Offices, Jumuia Place, Lenana Road and agreed to form KCPF as a way to get Christian professionals, from different Christian churches and professionals, working together on our core focus areas of life, family, religion and governance.
On Wednesday this week, we had a Thanksgiving Prayer Service at All Saints Cathedral, presided over by the Provost of All Saints Canon Sammy Wainaina. We prayed for KCPF, its leaders & members and appealed for more prayer as we position for impact in the next decade through Version 2.0 of KCPF.
Various Programmes linked to KCPF Version 2.0 were initiated.
(a) Africa Christian Professionals Forum,
(b) County Chapters Initiative,
(c) The Advisory Council of KCPF,
(d) A membership recruitment campaign,
(e) The Angaza 2020 Fundraising Campaign, and
(f) The Integrity & Inclusivity Project under Utumishi Bora Awards.
We also flagged off the development of
(1) An annual Life Family & Faith Report,
(2) A bi-annual Journal on Family, Law & Religion,
(3) A Family and Faith Resources Centre incorporating a virtual Call Centre, and
(4) A Christian Counselling and Dispute Resolution Centre.
Later the same day we had a webinar where we launched our revamped website.
We look forward to the next ten years of Witnessing, Advocacy, Resourcing & Networking and invite all our members to dedicate even more to our shared goals and vision. Best wishes for the weekend and the week ahead.
Charles Kanjama, KCPF Chair.
